While your puppy is here, we will introduce him/her to softened kibble around 3 weeks of age. We start pups on Blackhawk- Chicken/Rice (available at animates, or at your vets) As pups teeth come through, they begin to eat the kibble dry. It is important for your pup to always have access to water. You are able to transition pup to another type of food if you wish (this can be done over 7-10 days, by gradually adding more of 1 kibble, less of the other) Occasionally your puppy may be on a different mix(as we like to try new brands sometimes). We let you know what your puppy has been eating prior to you taking puppy home.
What else can my puppy eat?
It is always best to keep your puppy on the food that they have been eating at Liberty Labradoodles. If you switch to different foods often or too quickly, your puppy may end up with diarrhoea or possibly allergies. As your Oodle puppy gets older, you can feed them raw chicken necks as a treat(not a main diet) Raw chicken necks can be bought in a flat packed tray from Paknsave. Chicken necks should not be cooked as the bones might splinter. They should be fed to puppy raw, and can also be fed to your puppy straight from the freezer(frozen).
